The DOE Joint Genome Institute's (JGI) Community Science Program (CSP) is now accepting Letters of Intent for large-scale genomic science projects that fall broadly within the DOE mission and support efforts towards a sustainable bioeconomy. Of particular interest are proposals that address the following areas of emphasis and exploit the diversity of JGI capabilities:
- Genes to Function
- Plant and Algal Functional Genomics
- Understanding natural communities important for carbon and other nutrient cycling, and climate resilience
- Biofuels, biomaterials, and bioproducts
- Viruses, mobile elements, and new lineages of life
Application Deadline: April 10, 2025 (Letter of Intent); May 6, 2025 (Full proposals, by invitation only)
