This program element solicits investigations associated with the Precipitation Measurements Mission (PMM) and the CALIPSO/CloudSat (CC) Science Teams. While solicitations for these science teams have been independent in the past, changes in instrument status and programmatic goals for the two science teams have led to a more unified approach, while still retaining some independence due to continuing differences in science and applications goals. Primarily PMM investigations are solicited in Section 2.1, Primarily CALIPSO/CloudSat investigations are solicited in Section 2.2, and fully integrated investigations are solicited in Section 2.3 of the RFP.
