University of Florida Historic Preservation is partnering with Flagler College, City of St. Augustine, and the Newport Restoration Foundation to host the Keeping History Above Water conference in St. Augustine, May 5-9, 2019.

The conference brings together scientists, researchers, and a wide array of stakeholders to examine the theoretical and practical issues of sea level rise and its impact on historic coastal communities and cultural resources. With a theme of ‘Envision 205,’ the conference’s content will focus specifically on the next three decades, including, among other topics, flooding projections and adaptation strategies currently underway or in development.

The Keeping History Above Water: St. Augustine website will be up in the coming weeks and the call for presentations and papers will go out this June. For past event see: http://historyabovewater.org/
