My expertise is in climate dynamics and El Nino. I am also interested in predicting climate, and for about 10 years have provided monthly El Nino predictions to the International Research Institute for Climate and Society based in Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory. I have made 9-month forecasts for the Australian sugar farmers, and am interested in predicting the winter climate variability in the southeast US and other parts of the Northern Hemisphere. I am also interested in sea level rise.
