South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative FY2012 RFP

The South Atlantic Landscape Conservation Cooperative (SALCC) is a partnership of private, nonprofit, state, and federal organizations dedicated to conserving a landscape capable of sustaining the nation’s natural and cultural resources for current and future generations. The SALCC is part of a national network of Landscape Conservation Cooperatives (LCCs).

In 2012, the SALCC is soliciting proposals from interested groups and individuals that address immediately limiting science gaps within the SALCC. These needs are the highest priority needs from the 2012 SALCC Science Assessment. The announcement lists SALCC priority gaps for FY2012 and provides information about the format and timetable for submitting proposals.

Statement of interest due: May 23, 2012. Invited full proposals due: June 23, 2012.

NSF Division of Environmental Biology - Fundamental Research Grant | $72,000 pa

The Division of Environmental Biology (DEB) supports fundamental research on populations, species, communities, and ecosystems. Areas of research include biodiversity, phylogenetic systematics, molecular evolution, life history evolution, natural selection, ecology, biogeography, ecosystem structure, function and services, conservation biology, global change, and biogeochemical cycles. Research on organismal origins, functions, relationships, interactions, and evolutionary history may incorporate field, laboratory, or collection-based approaches; observational or manipulative experiments; synthesis activities; as well as theoretical approaches involving analytical, statistical, or computational modeling.  ..more
