I have expertise in running, developing and analyzing output from atmospheric models. I analyze atmospheric output on timescales from weeks to decades. Research interest include: analyzing extreme events in climate models (such as tropical cyclones, heat waves and droughts). The analysis takes the form of phenomenological aspects as well as frequency and duration. I`m also interested in all aspects of climate change and how it relates/impacts human health and vector borne diseases. Finally, I'm interested in adaption/mitigation and risk management to human infrastructure and natural sustainability to change change impacts.
The Florida Climate Institute (FCI) is a multi-disciplinary network of national and international research and public organizations, scientists, and individuals concerned with achieving a better understanding of climate variability and change.
